REMCON Constructions were engaged by Alpha Project and Construction Management on behalf of the Owners Corporation to undertake the works. The original building was completed in 2010 and was showing signs of water ingress through balconies and external windows.
The scope of works was made up of various tasks including, demolition of existing balconies and doors, reinstatement of the membrane systems with new tiling upon completion. In addition to the balcony works, some 140 external windows required to be removed and re-installed using purpose built, stainless steel sub-sills to eliminate the water ingress due to poor initial installation. During the construction phase, REMCON were also engaged to repair the cracks in the external facades and apply a new membrane coating systems to provide greater durability to the building.
The project was undertaken whilst the building remained occupied by the residents and through a live working environment. All works were carried out safely and in accordance with all relevant code for compliance and with least intrusive nature for the residents. Upon completion of the works, all internal and common areas have been repainted and replastered, leaving a building full of potential and in a great location.
We are pleased to have been part of this project with Alpha P&C and the Owners Corporation and thank them for a mutually rewarding and exciting experience
